Should I use salt to clean my crystals?

Salt water is considered one of the best ways to thoroughly cleanse your crystals, but just like cleansing your crystals in the sunlight, you should also take care to do some research before submerging your crystals in salt water.


Certain stones that are porous, containing certain metals, or any stones in their raw state should not be soaked in salt water for any period of time.   • Fluorite

  • Gypsum

  • Hematite

  • Howlite

  • Imperial

  • Kyanite and Kunzite

  • Labradorite

  • Lepidolite

  • Malachite

  • Moonstone

  • Opal

  • Pyrite

  • Red Coral

  • Selenite

  • Tangerine Quartz

  • Topaz

  • Turquoise

  • Ulexite
